CUBO’s 2025 Summer Conference, one of the largest annual gatherings for HE campus and commercial services professionals, will take place at Northumbria University from 10 to 12 June.

This year’s conference, themed “Fostering Creativity and Driving Innovation: Transforming Challenges into Opportunities,” promises an engaging programme designed to inspire and empower delegates as we navigate the current challenges within the sector.

Bringing together leaders and experts from across the sector and beyond, the CUBO Summer Conference is a leading event for peer networking in HE commercial services. Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in a series of thought-provoking sessions, interactive workshops, and discussions that will explore how the sector can transform challenges into opportunities in the ever evolving HE landscape.

This year's headline speakers include CEO of The Co-operative Group  Shirine Khoury-Haq, International Creativity and Innovation Trainer Rody Vonk, and Trend Forecaster Kate Ancketill, who will inspire delegates and give insight into how the sector can leverage innovation to thrive in the ongoing challenging HE climate.

The conference will culminate in the prestigious CUBO Awards ceremony on the evening of 11 June. The awards celebrate excellence, creativity, and innovation in student and campus services, recognising outstanding achievements across nine categories. The CUBO Awards highlight the exceptional work and dedication of teams and individuals who have made significant contributions to enhancing the campus experience.

“We are excited to host this year’s conference at Northumbria University and to explore how our community can harness creativity and innovation to overcome challenges and drive progress,” said Nysa Pradhan, Executive Director of CUBO. “The CUBO Summer Conference is a unique opportunity for professionals in our sector to come together, learn from each other, and celebrate the outstanding achievements that continue to shape the future of campus services.”
