Summer Business Masterclass

Commercial summer business is an important source of income for most universities. Learn how to develop your strategy, how to diversify your summer business and how to work effectively with language schools. Sessions during the day may include hosting a major event, how to work with TV and film, relationships with visitor convention bureaus, marketing strategy and sales techniques.


Marketing Campus Services to Students

This course supports marketing professionals tasked with engaging students in campus services, from choosing their accommodation to catering, residence life, sport and physical activity on campus. The focus is on effective campaigns, digital marketing and engaging Gen Z.

This course explores the different catering models operated at universities including in-house catering, contract catering, mixed models and subsidiary companies, brought to life by case studies from around the UK.


Campus Female Leaders – Smashing the Glass Ceiling/Empowerment Training

While more women are reaching senior level in university campus and professional services, significant challenges remain. This one-day course, currently in development, will equip female commercial and campus services leaders with tools to increase their leadership impact and create lasting personal and professional change, and create relationships where they can continue to network, mentor, and encourage each other for years to come.


Pre-conference Study Tour

Taking place directly before CUBO Summer Conference, our annual study tour is open to both international and UK university campus services professionals. Visiting different universities and PBSA, it dives deep into residential life, catering, sport, accommodation and the student campus experience.  Through daytime site visits and presentations and relaxed evening events, the group also benefit from a rich exchange of experience and knowhow.
