The CUBO Residence Life Stars for 2024 were announced at the CUBO Residence Life conference in May at the University of Nottingham.
The Residence Life Star Awards take place annually and recognise six exceptional students and one professional working in higher education across the UK and Ireland to create supportive living and learning communities in university and private student residences.
The six student winners receive a trophy and a place at the CUBO Residence Life Conference, where they take part in a panel discussion and receive their award.
The winners for 2024 are:
Hsuvas Borkakoty - Cardiff University
Luke McFarline – University of Leeds
Hai Anh Nguyen – Newcastle University
Ayomiposi Awoyemi (Ayo) – University of Nottingham
John McGuinness – Queen’s University Belfast
Isobel Buck – University of Southampton
The winner of the CUBO/Acuho-i Residence Life New Professional award was Nick Choudry from the University of Nottingham, who wins a trophy and funding to attend the Acuho-i Conference in North America.
