This workshop focuses on enhancing cultural competency in student services, equipping participants with the skills to better support diverse student populations. It covers key areas such as understanding cultural differences, promoting inclusivity, addressing biases, and developing strategies to create a more equitable and supportive environment for all students.

Develop your inclusion lens through the five C’s of inclusive leadership focusing on:

What can I do? Inclusion starts with I - interrogate your own biases leadership style and behaviours, as a starting point leading with inclusion.

What can we do? Understand how you can influence processes, policy strategy, your team and whole organisational approach to inclusion.

 

EDI Data Maturity - Tom White and Tom Leach, Investor in Students - Darwin Suite 3

This presentation on EDI data maturity explores how organisations can effectively use data to advance equity diversity and inclusion (EDI) goals. It covers assessing current data practices, identifying gaps, leveraging data for informed decision-making, and developing strategies to enhance EDI outcomes and drive meaningful measurable progress.

 

DEIB Strategic Development - Sam Kingsley - Darwin Boardroom

The 2023 living back at university commission report provided tips on creating business cases that promote change. This workshop builds on that by combining business cases and strategic development to advance diversity equity inclusion and belonging (DEIB) initiatives in organisations.
