Accommodation is an important part of a CUBO member’s offer and a vital component of the student campus experience.
The CUBO Housing Codes and Standards Lead is a member of the CUBO Executive Board and oversees our strategy, policy and activity in the broad area of student accommodation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved at strategic level in an HE membership organisation that is recognised as a sector expert in student accommodation and home to the UUK/GuildHE Accommodation Code of Practice (The Code).
The role is supported strategically by the wider CUBO Board and operationally by our staff team, but does require attendance of CUBO Executive, Code Governance Board and other meetings through the year that are mainly online. The CUBO Housing Codes and Standards Lead also organises the agenda for and chairs the CUBO Accommodation Strategy Group.
This important volunteer role supports students and the HE sector and brings with it considerable opportunities for personal and professional development, Board-level experience and networking with senior contacts across the sector, while raising both the profile of the role holder and their university.
Travel expenses directly related to the role are covered by CUBO or the UUK/GuildHE Code as appropriate.
